An old theme reborn. This theme is one that I've done as a straight metal track and as a modern piano piece. And now there's this. There's more in the way of dynamics in it than some of the other crap I've done.
I was messing around with a metal riff and harmony part (the delay effect on it kinda makes it sound sloppier than it is). We decided that it was all bottom end and it needed some stuff on the top. The result was this first take at an improvised solo. The guitar cries, shrieks and screams. I lost the master, but I keep going back and listening to this draft over and over.
An old favourite of mine. It seems pretty popular with the fans too. This (like the Metallica track) is an old recording and generally sounds much better these days, but until I have a better recording of some of this stuff, you'll have to make do with what you've got.
A raging Metal anthem crossed with an old Delta Blues style. If you're Metallica and reading this, apologies for the vandalism. If you're an old, dead blues guy and you're reading this, the same apology extends to you.
A while back, Paul Jacobs was kind enough to have me make a bunch of noise on KKUP Radio and despite technical difficulties, I came away with some recordings.
